Why Private Pay ?

I have chosen to maintain this practice as a private pay program. This choice was made to protect the consistency and flexibility that good therapy requires. In my professional experience, insurance companies often limit or deny care—even when there’s clear need—making it harder for people to get the support they deserve. In my 10+ years in the field, I’ve witnessed far too many people be denied care due to insurance acting in an unethical manner.

To avoid these barriers, I do not bill insurance directly. Instead, I focus on making care accessible through lower-than-average rates for ERP specialists, a sliding scale, and support for out-of-network (OON) reimbursement. Additionally, we do offer varied rates amongst the clinicians at this practice - providing more pathways for the most supportive and effective treatment.

Insurance & Reimbursement

While I don’t bill insurance, clients are welcome to submit superbills for out-of-network (OON) reimbursement or request a single case agreement with their insurance provider. If you’re considering either option, it’s important to contact your insurance company in advance to confirm your benefits and learn what they require.
